Regina Dominican High School is pleased to announce that Golf coach Elizabeth McCann ’09 is the recipient of the Mike Small Coach of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year.
Coach McCann, in her 8th season in her position of head golf coach, has seen the size of her roster increase over the last 4 years, leading to the formation of a junior varsity program. In addition, Coach McCann has had sectional qualifiers in 3 of the last 4 seasons.
Elizabeth is also the Director of Alumnae & Parent Relations at Regina Dominican. One of her main duties in that position is overseeing the annual Booster Club Golf Outing, which takes place each September at the Wilmette Golf Club. Working in conjunction with the Regina Dominican Booster Club the 2022 event raised $50,000 for the athletic department. Coach McCann, a Regina Dominican alum, class of 2009, also was a member of the golf team during her 4 years as a Panther, as well as a member of the bowling and softball teams. When not coaching or working in the advancement office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, reading, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
