Leadership Institute Her Story Started Here: Anne Shaw '88

The Leadership Institute welcomed award-winning attorney and Regina Alumna Anne Shaw ('88) Friday 10/20/2023 for our monthly "Her Story Started Here..." lunch event. Shaw engaged students in attendance with insights on law, her life, and the legal cases and people who inspired her to take on and fight cases of discrimination throughout her career. By refusing to give into fear, she was able to raise the voices of others. Through countless examples, including setting up the first pro bono legal clinic in Chinatown, Shaw demonstrated how loss can turn into lesson. Shaw’s message was to "Be confident, relatable, and walk into a room knowing that not only do you belong, but you can own it!" Her Story Started Here is a monthly lunchtime speaker event which provides an opportunity for our students to interact and network in a small group setting with fascinating and talented alumnae.
